Laura Rafson, Maria Squeri, Erika Galvez, Liz Rosenberg and Lynsey Schwab – present graphic design like you’ve never seen it – from the first to the final step. The group aims to showcase graphic design as seen through the CMYK process, which starts with pen and paper and then morphs into the digital landscape. But attendees won’t just watch, they’ll be a part of the entire experience, creating a product with the Kittens hands-on.

Art on Track, Chicago Transit Authority 'L' Car, September 2012
For the fifth time, Art on Track will gather a group of cultural ambassadors from Chicago’s diverse art scene for an extraordinary mobile gallery experience.

The CMYKittens – a graphic design collaborative – are using their train car for an exploration of relational aesthetics. As part of their exploration they have created a massive, nearly 15 foot, light bright inside the train car for our audience to interact with.
Typeforce4, Co-Prosperity Sphere, Chicago, March 2013
Incorporating the youthful playfulness of a Lite-Brite and the ingenuity and interactivity of the audience, the CMYKittens created a giant interactive light mural. It is a nearly 12' wide light box that lets users create words made entirely of illuminated colored rods. By choosing different colored rods and placing them into the light box, it allows the canvas and words to fully come to life, creating a different story for every individual.
